Night Auditor oversees and coordinates front office operations during the hotel overnight shift. Reconciles all hotel cashier transactions, ensures the accuracy of folio billing, posts revenue to appropriate accounts, and compiles various management reports. Being a Night Auditor checks guests in and out, answers front desk telephone and resolves guest service and billing issues as needed. May require an associate degree. Additionally, Night Auditor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Night Auditor works under moderate supervision. Gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Our company is looking for a Night Auditor to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Input and update financial information into corporate communications network;
  • Audit and reconcile all Front Desk and Food & Beverage Cashier’s work;
  • Ensure accuracy of all numbers reported including statistics;
  • Keep management abreast of any unusual operational or financial events and/or deviations of policies or procedures;
  • Perform guest services functions as required (i.e. check guests in/out, take reservations, we-up calls, etc.);
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Promptly and effectively deals with guest requests and complaints;
  • Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests;
  • Responsible for cash drawer contents and transactions during shift;
  • Ensure credit card system reconciles to daily transaction lists;
  • Performs and supervises the duties of the front desk clerk for 3rd shift;
  • Making corrections, and adjustments, and handling any computer problems that might occur during your shift;
  • Auditing, and reconciling all revenue postings;
  • Follow all specified procedures to audit the shift closing of all Front Office staff;
  • Preparing, maintaining, and distributing statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports.

Requirements:

  • Balancing of daily posting and revenue, and resolution of inaccuracies;
  • Be familiar with guest scenarios and follow-up on all guest requests and concerns, effectively adhering to the service recovery process;
  • Computer proficiency required;
  • Strong eye for details;
  • Excellent communication and math skills;
  • Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to audience, whether oral or written;
