Our company is looking for a Senior Procurement Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Process purchase orders; develop bids and proposals; and reconcile any invoice discrepancies;
  • Develop a centralized procurement program that adds value and efficiency to the organization;
  • Develop and implement procurement-related training programs for the procurement team and organization;
  • Oversee contract development and administration;
  • Develop, communicate and administer procurement team performance and development plans and appraisals;
  • Serve as the primary contact for procurement-related questions, training, policy and procedure interpretation and alignment by all departments;
  • Manage specific commodities, i.e. Linear and logic semiconductors, discrete semiconductors, memory products, customs semiconductors, RF and magnets;
  • Administering of purchase orders in response to MRP messages;
  • Collect, monitor and publish metrics on team performance;
  • Lead and direct team (Buyers);
  • Expedite of existing purchase order in response of changing MRP messages;
  • Negotiation of price, support and delivery terms, for both spot purchases and long term agreements.

Requirements:

  • Management consulting experience and/or sourcing / procurement experience at large multinational firms will be an added advantage;
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills;
  • Strong background in working on enterprise wide projects for large complex organizations, preferably in financial services or insurance industry;
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a team environment and highly matrixed environment;
  • Evidence of successful management of large programs and projects;
  • Outsourcing governance & strategy from leading industry associations e.g. IAOP, HFS, etc;
  • Master knowledge of contract terms and conditions (T&C), specifically technology provisions;
  • Strong Fieldglass skills, including report writing, set-up, and system administration;
  • Experience in process transformation, cost reduction and global delivery model strategy highly desirable;
  • Outsourcing experience at large multinational firms will be an added advantage;
  • Experience working with global and cross-functional teams;
  • Strong executive presence to work with senior leaders within Assurant;
  • Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills in a team environment;
  • Previous purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
