Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities to ensure the health and comfort of all patients;
- Develop treatment plans based on scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines;
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals and monitoring the effectiveness of all interventions;
- Implement measures to assist patients in regaining and sustaining physiologic endurance to include serving in the first assisting role;
- Ordering and interpreting tests;
- Successfully completes the mandatory three day HHC orientation;
- Monitors the level of and adjusts immunosuppressive medications;
- Diagnosing and treating illnesses;
- Other duties as assigned by Chief of Service;
- Demonstrates knowledge of the Privacy and Security rules outlined in the HIPAA guidelines;
- Effective organizational/time management skills;
- Elicits and performs a detailed and accurate history and performs an appropriate physical examination;
- Adheres and conforms to all hospital and departmental guidelines, policies and procedures;
- Develops treatment plans in conjunction with attending physician to provide optimal patient medical management;
- Excellent clinical skills.
Requirements:
- Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant;
- Graduation and accreditation from a 2 year Physician Assistant program;
- Bachelor’s degree in science or a health-related field;
- Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant educational program.
