Our company is looking for a Mental Health Therapist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Participates in agency meetings, staff forums and trainings as required;
  • Acts as a resource for caregivers, and other interested parties to assess and respond to client s needs;
  • Completes and submits documentation in accordance with County and Agency guidelines and standards as required;
  • Provides crisis intervention with clients as needed;
  • Provides effective individual, group, and family therapy;
  • Inform administrative staff of pending/planned discharges;
  • Emergency services duty on rotation that may include commitment procedures, after hour assessments, crisis planning, and hospital diversion;
  • Provide transportation for clients to access community resources;
  • Review treatment plans on a scheduled basis with treatment team and client;
  • Participate in regularly scheduled treatment team meetings and provide expertise to the team;
  • Formulate appropriate post-discharge placement plans that include services for consumer and family that maximize potential for success;
  • Complete treatment plans in a timely manner;
  • Complete discharge summary and other paperwork;
  • Prepare and conduct concurrent reviews to referral sources;
  • Develop appropriate discharge plans collaborating with referral sources.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology;
  • Completion of CPR/First Aid certification within the first thirty (30) days of employment;
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred;
  • Supervisor’s approval letter a plus;
  • Excellent working knowledge of behavioral medicine and evidence-based treatments for medical and mental health conditions;
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required;
  • Valid California driver’s license and insurance;
  • Bilingual Spanish/English abilities a plus;
  • Master s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Counseling or other Behavioral Sciences required;
  • Previous clinical experience working with children and families;
  • Participation in at least ten (10) hours of documented additional in-service per year;
  • Valid driver’s license from employee’s state of residence;
  • Participation and completion of mandatory in-services;
  • Valid registered vehicle insurance;
  • Strong practice of coordination of care across providers in a integrated setting.
