Telecommunications Specialist Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Telecommunications Specialist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and recommend process improvements and new and emerging technologies to meet customer requirements;
- Anticipate, effectively diagnose, isolate, and expediently resolve problems relative to telecommunications and information systems;
- Perform site surveys for equipment/system installations;
- Performs analysis and evaluation of telecom requirements and make recommendations to resolve performance/operating problems;
- Plan, set goals and determine strategies for accomplishing results;
- Research and write clear, concise and effective e written correspondence, procedures and briefings in accordance with current established policies;
- Resolve customer complaints, troubleshoot equipment, and check the device for proper operation.
Requirements:
- Able to multi-task with excellent time management skills;
- Must have experience communicating with vendors on a regular basis;

- Current Permanent Department of Defense (DOD) Civilian Employee (non-Army);

- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred;
- Intermediate (or better) knowledge of MS Excel;
- Basic understanding of OSP/ISP construction;
- Solid leadership and relationship/team building skills;

- Familiarity with circuit inventory and facility management OSS applications. Net Cracker experience desired;
- Experience managing multiple vendors and resources in order to deliver time-sensitive projects;
- Current Department of Army Civilian Employees.
