Our company is looking for a Network Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots network systems when necessary and makes improvements to the network;
  • Interfaces with support service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance;
  • Responsibilities include network scanning and troubleshooting of critical DHA applications and systems in a DoD hardened environment;
  • Uses judgement in data analysis to develop and design solutions for moderately complex processes;
  • Plans and schedules work to meet deadlines established by others to ensure the completion of several related tasks;
  • Manage technical projects;
  • Assist in project work in addition to supporting the business;
  • Perform impact analysis of new technologies on environment;
  • Determination and deployment of robust, stable, and manageable computing and network services;
  • Able to lift a minimum weight of 35 pounds, and able to perform repetitive standing, sitting,
  • Research new technology/products/tools;
  • Monitor and perform capacity/feasibility studies and resolve network capacity issues;
  • stooping, walking, stretching, reaching, and use full range of body motions in a standard IT/
  • office work environment;
  • Attend staff meetings, teleconferences and departmental meetings.

Requirements:

  • Physical networking (Ethernet cabling, telecom, patch panels) a plus;
  • Experience installing software, patches, updates on Desktops and Laptops;
  • Experience with SDD systems and applications a plus;
  • Experience troubleshooting basic network, software, and printing problems;
  • Associates Degree or Higher;
  • 3+ years of experience supporting Windows desktops and laptops;
  • 4+ years of experience with TCP/IP stacks, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), DoD approved network scanning tools;
  • Understanding of the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF);
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networks;
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving software and hardware issues, and installing / replacing hardware on desktop PCs;
  • MCSA / MCSE / MCITP certifications, training, or relative experience is desirable;
  • Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Exchange server;
  • Exceptional Customer Service Experience;
  • Experience administering Microsoft Active Directory.
