Our company is looking for a Cloud Storage Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and provide ongoing administration, maintenance and problem resolution of existing SAN / NAS storage infrastructure and related software;
  • Design, implement and maintain SAN and NAS storage appliances / solutions for use by cloud and other compute infrastructure;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalations from the teams support departments within defined OLA’s and processes;
  • Create and maintain strong vendor relationships. Negotiate cost effective contracts and renewals as needed;
  • Plan, execute and assist with ongoing cloud platform migrations with legacy cloud platforms.

Requirements:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Knowledge of software designed data centers (SDDC) methodologies and best practices;
  • Flexibility to be available during non-business hours for projects, maintenance and non-planned emergency events;
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds;
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced, high tech environment;
  • Expert level experience working with enterprise class SAN / NAS infrastructure from Nimble, EMC, NetApp and Dell;
  • United States citizen or legal to work in the US;
  • Ability to write and publish effective end-user technical documentation;
  • A passionate attention to detail;
  • Certifications in Cisco, VMware, NetApp, Nimble, Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure technologies a huge plus;
  • Knowledge of cloud platform orchestration layer tools and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, CloudBolt and OpenStack;
  • Able to commute to the office 5 days a week. Limited work from home options;
  • Proven experience working with compute platforms from Cisco UCS and Dell;
  • BS/BA degree coupled with at least two years’ relative work experience or the equivalent.
