The CMM Programmer reviews blueprints and specifications to establish correct inspection criteria following best practices. Develops, maintains, and generates CMM programs used to inspect and verify production materials and components. Being a CMM Programmer knowledge of ANSI/ASME, ISO, and GD&T. Proficient with PC-DMIS. In addition, CMM Programmer is familiar with Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques. May require a bachelor’s degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Being a CMM Programmer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Working as a CMM Programmer typically requires 2 -4 years of related experience.

Our company is looking for a CMM Programmer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Support operation metrics for Pp and PpK;
  • Identify potential causes for process variation;
  • Collects data from the checking fixture according to the control plan;
  • Support all outgoing Quality Inspection requirements (End of line inspection);
  • Develop CMM programs for completed assemblies and component parts (Weld buy off, DV samples, and Walk up work);
  • Assist in the performance of gauge studies;
  • Inspection of close tolerance parts in a prototype based environment, developing programs from blue prints, CAD and operation sheets;
  • Ability to work with operators, engineering and varying and changing shop schedules;
  • Support 1st piece Quality (buy-off) Inspection of all in-process components and sub-assemblies;
  • Take direction from and report to the quality lead;
  • Responsible for all incoming Supplier Documentation (review and storage);
  • Adheres to all safety policies and practices, consistently uses personal protective equipment, and practices good housekeeping;
  • Perform other tasks as directed;
  • Proactively supports the ISO process approach to quality management and the Syteline MIS system;
  • Calibrates shop and personal tools.

Requirements:

  • A.S. in Mechanical Technology;
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field is preferred;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Must have a valid US Passport;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and ability to create documents, reports and briefing materials in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Strong problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently;
  • Demonstrates strong time management skills with the ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects;
  • Ability to use technology effectively and efficiently to manage workload;
  • Conceptual Skills, Verbal Communication, Attention to Detail, Judgment;
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with tight deadlines;
