Database Developer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Database Developer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of delivers software to ensure compliance with;
- Corrects reported incidents on data and reporting applications and releases fixes through the change control processes;
- Performs SQL Server database administration in the development environment;
- Performs solution assessment as needed;
- Verifies integration test specifications to ensure proper;
- Translates business and functional requirements into technical design to meet stated business needs;
- Defining and developing data strategies for flexibility and scalability;
- Drives problem resolution to identify, recommend, and implement process;
- Performs analysis, design and implementation of data migration as needed;
- Participate in design and code reviews;
- Creates integration plans to support systems interface;
- Participates in a team-based, scrum development environment;
- Version control;
- Conducts proof of concept to guide technical implementation as needed;
- Develops and designs internal component and adjacent system interfaces to ensure inter- operability.
Requirements:
- Good project/time management skills;
- Database – Oracle, IBM DB2, Sybase;
- Proven database architecture and development experience;
- Looking for a developer not an administrator;
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with large scale and complex systems;
- Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences;
- Knowledge of new and emerging technologies related to data management;
- Expert Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services development;
- Experience as a BI or enterprise reports developer;
- 5+ years in SSIS and use of Stored Procedures;
- Industry experience a plus (Medicare, Medicaid, Healthcare or commercial insurance). #LI-SG2;
- Work with project managers to interpret business requirements and offer technical solutions;
- Deep understanding of relational database design concepts and SQL programming;
- 3+ years of experience with SQL and stored procedures within relational databases;
- Proven experience in the ability to creatively solve business problems using information systems.
