EDI Developer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a EDI Developer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Within 30 days become familiar with Applied Medical IS policy and procedures, become familiar with B2B environment;
- Weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly personal planning capability, including goal setting;
- Assist and support daily EDI production operations;
- At 90 days become adept at setting up new partners and communications profiles in the B2B environment;
- Support day to day enterprise wide EDI processing functions including troubleshooting production issues and implementing new EDI trading partners;
- Work with Customer Relations team to coordinate implementation of new trading partner relationships;
- By the 60 day mark begin setting up new trading partners in the B2B environment.
Requirements:
- Understand and comply with safety rules and company policies;
- Purchasing modules;
- Previous experience with IBM B2B Integrator is a plus;
- Understanding of client-server architecture;
- Ability to work as a team member;
- Understanding of ERP systems;
- Familiar with the file transfer concepts;
- Understanding of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI);
- Willing to learn BPML (xpath) and EDI process flows;
- Team coordinator & active team player;
- WIP, I-Procurement, Shipping, Inventory;
- Willing to learn data mapping, advanced data mapping techniques;
- Understand and follow Applied Medical’s Quality Systems (QS) per training;
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and projects concurrently;
- Knowledge of data formats including ANSI X12 810, 850, 855, 856, 867; EDIFACT ORDERS, ORDRSP, INVOIC, DESADV, PRICAT; XML, CSV, flat file is a plus.
