Junior .NET Developer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Junior .NET Developer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages;
- Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC);
- Improve existing software;
- Test and deploy applications and systems;
- Participate in requirements analysis;
- Revise, update, refactor and debug code;
- Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support;
- Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture.
Requirements:
- Scheduled outages must be notified to the user community via the IRIS homepage and documented in the IRIS Operations Log;
- Basic knowledge of .NET framework and relational databases;
- Obtain and maintain all of the certifications per DOD Directive 8570.01-M;
- Understand upgrade approaches and methodologies;
- Possess a good understanding of IRIS advanced features;
- Spoken & written English;
- Degree/Certification;
- 6+ months of experience as a software developer (either C# or Java);
- Ensure IRIS is fast and responsive by working directly with system administrators;
- Ensure that IRIS best practices are enforced (sharing knowledge with system administrators, programmers, help desk support, and power users);
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or 4 years as a .Net/C# programmer position;
- Define governance and supporting documentation for the IRIS application;
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) preferred;
- Notify the PM and Government leadership of any unscheduled system outages and document the outage in the IRIS Operations Log;
- Ensure that the mission and business requirements are mapped to the appropriate IRIS capabilities.
