Our company is looking for a Junior Web Developer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Red Letters coding best practices and work with the team to develop those practices as the agency grows;
  • Adhere to design specifications and mock-ups with pixel perfect attention to detail;
  • Debugs issues that arise with the performance of the company global web properties;
  • Works closely with the marketing and development teams to execute and maintain a consistent image across all platforms;
  • Works with web development to keep servers and software packages up to date;
  • Suggests and makes improvements to existing web properties;
  • Creates digital newsletters for third party marketing campaigns;
  • Willingness to learn and follow the Creative Slice way of doing things, while also offering suggestions to improve our processes;
  • Create competitive website performance budgets;
  • Perform cross-browser quality assurance testing on websites while managing tasks in ClickUp with team members;
  • Design, develop, test and debug new and existing applications;
  • Perform analysis and provide recommendations of software requirements to determine feasibility of design;
  • Develop custom reports;
  • Responsible for writing code to specifications and under direction of management;
  • Review past projects and pull out code for future use.

Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of nix shell commands and scripting;
  • B.S. in Computer Science or comparable experience / training as a web developer;
  • A novice level of skill with creating custom WordPress themes and/or familiarity with creating websites using an MVC architecture;
  • Sincere desire to learn more about the full-stack;
  • Must live in Tucson and have transportation to Creative Slice office;
  • BA Degree or commensurate relevant experience;
  • Juggle various projects and handle tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop – REQUIRED;
  • Experience working with a CMS – REQUIRED;
  • Graphic design experience a plus;
  • HTML, CSS/SASS, Javascript, Git – REQUIRED;
  • 1+ years of experience writing unit tests, performing code reviews, or root cause analysis;
  • 2+ years of experience with Javascript, jQuery, KnockoutJS, HTML, CSS;
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic;
  • 1+ years of Git or other version control experience.
