Our company is looking for a Research Scientist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Interacts with IT groups to optimize electronic notebook function and introduce new methods into the electronic notebook environment;
  • Assist in the day to day operation of a high sample volume GMP pharmaceutical microbiology laboratory;
  • Responsible for quality event investigations as they relate to laboratory operations as well as implementation of appropriate CAPA’s;
  • Responsible for assuring timely revision of SOP’s, and other procedural documents;
  • Train and develop staff as needed to support clinical manufacturing of parenteral and oral solid dose products;
  • Interacting with other functions with interdepartmental projects, project planning, etc.;
  • Conducting survival surgeries on rodents for internal tumor treatments;
  • Conducting in vitro biological techniques, including cell culture and bioassays (i.e. ELISA, Multi-color Flow Cytometry);
  • Review and provide assessments/analysis of scientific studies;
  • Lead role for studies, training, and other projects as needed;
  • Design experiments using syngeneic mouse tumor models to optimize the stimulation of the immune system;
  • Has broad understanding and in-depth hands-on experience in evaluating dermatological treatment technologies using in vivo rodent models;
  • Create advanced perception and decision making systems to enable vehicles to accurately perceive, predict, and react to the world;
  • Synthesize new monomer and oligomers and evaluate performance both at the component and full formulation levels;
  • Participate in cutting edge research to advance the state of the art in self-driving vehicles.

Requirements:

  • Understanding with genome alignment, mapping, variant calling, and annotation;
  • A track record of publications and/or successful proposal writing is strongly desired;
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills; experience with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel;
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate and work well in a team environment;
  • Reprioritize projects as necessary;
  • Mentoring and/or management experience;
  • Extensive experience generating and treating tumors in vivo in rodents, including survival surgical experience;
  • Experience developing and/or applying disease/cellular/ in vivo models;
  • Experience in R&D environments and with rapid software prototyping;
  • US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED, active DoD clearance a plus;
  • Contributions to the research community, including publications at conferences such as NIPS, CVPR, RSS, ICRA, etc;
  • Experience in machine learning, computer vision, decision making under uncertainty, motion planning, or autonomous vehicles;
  • Experience in Python and C/C++
  • Experience/understanding of material properties (mechanical and thermo-mechanical);
  • Technical writing skills.
