Senior Javascript Developer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Javascript Developer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in design discussions;
- Support production issue resolutions per need;
- Participate in weekly sprint planning, retrospective, and review meetings, with teams in US and remote teams;
- Design, develop, test, and deploy applications from pre-production environment to production;
- Write new UI components and supporting code for new product features;
- Perform installation of code releases and patches and write scripts or programs for IT applications;
- Help grow Zumper’s core web products;
- Create software code, unit tests and assist with encoding, testing, debugging, and documentation;
- Understand client requirements and prepare designs for translating those into software applications;
- Write unit and integration tests for code;
- Developing client software with React/Redux, ES6, webpack, charting libraries and similar web UI technology;
- Uses coding methods in specific programming languages to initiate or enhance program execution and functionality;
- Collaborate within a growing, bicoastal engineering org;
- Create documentation and provide technical planning for new product features;
- Review code written by teammates.
Requirements:
- Backend development experience a plus;
- BS degree in Computer Science or related field;
- Solid knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript with respect to development, testing, deployment, and performance tuning;
- High motivation and energy;
- Prior experience working on developing enterprise web applications for F500 corporations is a big plus;
- Strong experience working in Agile environment and understanding of SCRUM process;
- Strong object-oriented design and development experience;
- Experience with agile development methodologies;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- You must have experience with JavaScript, Responsive Web Design, Single Page Applications;
- Must be familiar with Design Patterns, Web Services – RESTful, strong with Database knowledge;
- 4+ years of software engineering experience in web technologies and front end development;
- Experience with user-centered design;
- Experience with core product development;
- Cloud experience strongly preferred; web application experience required at a minimum.
