Senior Network Security Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Network Security Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Performs other duties as assigned;
- Organize periodic vulnerabilities testing of network systems. Participate in the testing of disaster recovery process and procedures;
- Help establish system controls by aiding the development of cyber security framework policies for controls and levels of access;
- Attend classes and courses for additional training as identified and required in this role;
- Maintain current network and change management process documentation.
Requirements:
- A solid understanding of AWS Public Cloud and Hybrid Cloud environment security is highly desired;
- Strong scripting skills and experience writing scripts to manage infrastructure (Terraform, Cloud Formation, Python, Puppet, etc.);
- Ability to succeed in a diverse, fast-moving environment. Strong self-starting skills;
- Experience with industry standard compliance frameworks (HIPAA, COPPA, GPDP, FedRAMP, ISO27001, etc);
- 4-7 years of related IT security experience;
- Security Governance Certifications a plus (CISSP, CISM, CISA, CGEIT, CRISC);
- A solid understanding of DevOps development lifecycle and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) methodologies;
- AWS-specific skills (Networking: Route53, Direct Connect, etc.) and (Security: WAF, Config, CloudWatch, etc.) desired but not required;
- Strong understanding of the Agile Development Framework;
- Bachelor’s Degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.
