Senior Cyber Security Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Processes, tracks and manages C&A packages into applicable systems (ex. eMASS);
- Provide contact with customers and must maintain good customer relations as well as understand and apply the processes of IT project;
- Design of hardware, operating systems, and software applications adequately address IA security requirements for the;
- Assist in the coordination of vulnerability assessments, inspections, tests and reviews of the CCoE’s information systems and;
- Develop and implement security designs for new or existing network system(s);
- Develop Cross Domain Solution (CDS) for use within a Computing Environment (CE) or;
- Update, maintain and test the Disaster Recovery Plan and Continuity of Operation (COOP) to reflect changes in the IT;
- Provide technical support to Information Systems Security Managers (ISSM) and ISSOs throughout the;

- Generate and/or coordinating the compiling all document deliverables required for Certification & Accreditation (C&A) utilizing RMF methodology;
- Provide system related input on IA security requirements to be included in statements of work and other appropriate procurement;

- Define NE security requirements in accordance with applicable IA;

Requirements:
- TS/SCI clearance;
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience with both IT and IA, with ten of those years working with IA security policies;
- Possess an IAM-III Certification, such as CISSP, GSLC, or CISM;
- HS diploma or GED (Bachelors or Masters preferred in related technical field);
- Secret Clearance;
- Minimum 5+ years of experience with DoD Cyber security, information assurance, or RMF;
- BA or BS degree in CS, Computer Information Systems, MIS, or a related field preferred; MA or MS degree a plus;
- Active secret clearance;
- Ability to create Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) according to eMASS and RMF requirements;
- 10+ years of experience with IA security policy;
- DoD 8570 Series IAT Level II Certification (COMPTIA Security+ or equivalent);
- Validation experience preferred, but not required;
- HS Diploma or GED;
- 15+ years of experience with both IT and IA;
- Familiarity with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and Security Requirements Guides (SRG).
