Senior Cybersecurity Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- and the implementation of Cyber Security and IA boundary defense techniques and various IA-enabled appliances;
- Engineer and deploy DoD Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and Host Based Security Suite (HBSS) applications;
- Possess an in-depth understanding and experience in Risk Management Framework (RMF), Platform IT (PIT),
- Experience with engineering, deploying, and sustaining multiple HBSS and ACAS instantiations across multiple classification domains;
- Identification of information protection requirements for DoD information systems and networks;
- Participation with design engineers in the development of an overarching system design with a focus on building in Cybersecurity;
- Interaction with customers and authorization officials to define and achieve required Cybersecurity objectives;
- Development of documentation and artifacts required by the applicable Cybersecurity authorization process.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate Degree or equivalency;
- CISSP or CISM desireable (not required);
- Top Secret clearance with SCI elibibility (have current or held within the past two years);
- DoD 8570 IAM II Certification (CISSP or GSEC);
- Ability to perform in a high-paced, high-profile environment;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Knowledge of aircraft or weapons systems;
- Ability to work independently and with a team to determine and develop approaches to solutions;
- Sets highest ethical standards for self and others;
- Knowledge of Air Force Cybersecurity requirements and processes, including platform IT;
- Active TS/SCI clearance;
- Knowledge of Special Access Programs (SAP) processes preferred;
- The ability to work in a team environment with others representing management, engineering, technical, security, and user communities;
- DoD 8570 CSSP Analyst Certification preferred, including CEH CSA+
- Analyzing cybersecurity requirements and translating them to system requirements specifications.
