Cyber Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Cyber Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Understanding and identifying new vulnerabilities and attack vectors to actively hunt for threats across multiple networks;
- Reviewing and analyzing security audits and computer logs to improve endpoint security measures;
- Assisting in establishing standards for information security systems procedures;
- Testing and monitoring computer systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems;
- Preparing required documentation, including program-level and user-level documentation;
- Deployment, administration support, and maintenance of servers in a large-scale enterprise;
- Collection, processing, and analysis of data and information to create threat intelligence indicators;
- Identification, collection, and examination of security threats;
- Developing analytical and computational techniques and methodology for problem solutions;
- Testing, debugging, and assisting in the refinement of systems products;
- Malware identification, analysis, and event resolution;
- Collaborating with clients regarding the nature of systems vulnerabilities and recommending remediation steps.
Requirements:
- Hands on experience with Windows Active Directory and workstation/server system administration to include Application White Listing (e.g. AppLocker);
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience with building/forming programs for enterprise security continuous monitoring and cyber security incident response;
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience with enterprise security enterprise security continuous monitoring;
- Expertize in developing and managing Group Policy Objects(GPOs);
- MCSE, Security + and/or CISSP;
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience with collaboration and outreach across the customers’ environment;
- Experience supporting an enterprise-wide Application Code Signing Program.
