Software Systems Architect Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Software Systems Architect to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Work with many cross-functional teams and at different levels within the organization to understand existing systems, identify gaps and future needs;
- Lead the development and testing of the architectures and frameworks you design;
- Evangelize and ensure continued alignment for the efforts you lead;
- Propose innovative methods and tools to develop high-assurance hardware and software systems that are scalable, maintainable, and well-understood.
Requirements:
- Experience managing application development projects in a military Joint Service Environment;
- Minimum of three years of experience writing and briefing senior leadership;
- Knowledge of NIST RMF as applicable to complex IT systems architecture;
- Minimum of five years of experience designing, building, and implementing disaster recovery and continuity of operations solutions;
- Active TS clearance with current SSBI;
- A current DoDI 8570.01 IA Management (IAM) Level III certification;
- Knowledge of RMF/NIST, DoD 8500.01 and ICD 501-503;
- BS/ BA in relevant technical area and 8 years experience or AS / AA and 10 years experience;
- Active TS/SCI;
- Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs;
- Experience with C4ISR/EW Modular Open Suite of Standards (CMOSS) and Modular Open RF Architecture (MORA) reference implementation;
- Familiarity with SALVAGE;
- Experience with software development (C/C++, Java);
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a variety of audiences;
- Competence in C/C++
