Our company is looking for a Technical Support Engineer III to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • High skill level with customer’s production equipment;
  • Disseminate/share key technical knowledge within client via reports and/or participation in weekly/monthly group meetings;
  • Provide technical support to client’s Marketing department in the development of new materials and test methods to characterize them;
  • Provide product and process training to customers, within client, and at industry conferences;
  • Excellent project management and planning, including 6 sigma, GANTT charts, discerning value in data;
  • Develop and maintain strong technical relationships and collaborate with industry partners and equipment suppliers;
  • Provide technical support to client’s Marcom department in the development of promotional materials such as literature, websites, exhibits, etc;
  • Responsible for technical support services for at least one sales territory;
  • Provide expert technical assistance and guidance client’s customers and potential customers to resolve soldering process related issues;
  • Build strong technical relationships with targeted individuals at client’s largest current and target customers;
  • Assist in the development of internal and external test methods;
  • Participate in new product development, including new product ideation, scale-up, beta testing, and rollout;
  • Trains and evaluates colleagues on unique and general information;
  • High level customer engagement, providing insightful, advanced technical solutions.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated technical competency;
  • Experience with JMP or Minitab preferred;
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
  • Strong alignment with the corporate and departmental missions;
  • Technical undergraduate degree (BS in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Metallurgy, or Materials Science);
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a cross-functional team environment;
  • 15 years of direct technical experience in applied materials science, electronics assembly techniques, and/or technical assembly technical service;
  • Ability to work, with ease, with executive-level counterparts;
  • Special consideration given to candidates with language skills in Spanish and/or Chinese;
  • Ability to travel with limited notice – locally, nationally and overseas (up to 40%).
