VMware Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a VMware Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in on-call rotation;
- Aid in implementation and design of multi-location, public facing internet services and supporting infrastructure;
- Troubleshoot network and performance issues, analyze, and resolve problems associated with network infrastructure;
- Provide technical support for internal users and remote WAN customers;
- Monitor network infrastructure for performance, availability, and security issues of threats.
Requirements:
- Ability to establish and maintain rapport with a variety of clients and internal staff;
- Knowledge of finance and credit card systems preferred;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Knowledge or experience with regularly compliance such as PCI DSS or SOX preferred;
- 7+ years of experience with routers, switches, dynamic routing and other network related equipment and technologies;
- Advanced knowledge of entire technology lifecycle, including specification, documentation and quality assurance;
- Ability to operate well under pressure while successfully managing and executing multiple projects in order to meet required deadlines;
- 7+ years of previous systems and/or network management experience required;
- B.S. in Computer Science or related field;
- Thorough knowledge of modern OS architecture concepts and communications protocols.
