Warehouse Associate 1st Shift Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Warehouse Associate 1st Shift to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- May be required to train new hires on various warehouse functions;
- Required to maintain current status in C2C training modules;
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned;
- Unload freight from common and containerized carriers;
- Store, sort and place all received stock on racks, shelves or in bins according to the locater system;
- Shipment verification of all packed stock;
- Pick and pack stock using best practices and following company standards;
- Lift and move very rigid hose between filling containers;
- Prepare product for shipping by keeping track of inventory and signing off on documentation;
- Stock products and keep track of inventory;
- Stack 40 lb drums;
- Package chemicals and containers;
- Loads and unloads product into and from processing station, includes forklift operation;
- Maintains and advances technical skills, knowledge and abilities by assigned training;
- Operate forklift (will train).
Requirements:
- Must pass required background check and pre-employment screening;
- Work from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm (but be flexible to schedule changes);
- Applicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report;
- High level of teamwork;
- Able to lift 40lbs. repetitively throughout shift;
- Lifting up to 40 lbs;
- Be physically able to stand, squat, kneel, stoop, lift, twist and turn body;
- Forklift and Tugger certification after training;
- While performing the required duties of this position, the associate is regularly required to bend, lift, stand, walk, talk and/or hear;
- Must have excellent work ethics, including punctuality;
- Adapt to the company’s processes and procedures;
- Must pass drug test and physical;
- Applicant may be subject to a drug screen;
- Stack up to 40 lbs. above shoulder level;
- Must have worked as a warehouse associate/worker for at least 1 year.
