Our company is looking for a Windows Systems Administrator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Acquire, configure and maintain development, test and production servers;
  • The position is for a primary day shift (8-10 hours per day). Participation in a team 24×7 weekly rotation is part of the role;
  • Maintain data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity;
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution;
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks;
  • Answering questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization and usage of assigned products installed on Windows 10 Computers;
  • Incident identification, root cause analysis and resolution;
  • Specific support consists of troubleshooting hardware, software, and network related issues encountered by users;
  • You will manage user access and system performance;
  • Operate and maintain all Production, Pre-Production, and Development systems in a Windows environment;
  • Perform complex system administration of 500+ servers;
  • Supporting assess management tracking of inventory;
  • You will monitor and update the Windows codebase;
  • You will troubleshoot system and server errors;
  • Onsite troubleshooting, customer problem investigation, and technical assistance to computer system users.

Requirements:

  • Ability to build and optimize data center/enterprise hardware and infrastructure (HP / NetApp / Cisco Preferred);
  • A minimum of three years of relevant technical experience in Windows 2008 R2 and higher;
  • Storage – Netapp Ontap / Veritas Netbackup;
  • Experience with SCOM VMWare Configuration Management;
  • Proficient in completing daily assignments and project activities with great attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy;
  • Experience with Chef, VMware vSphere, AWS, or Azure is a plus;
  • Hands on knowledge of the Windows operating system environment;
  • Knowledge of enterprise backup principles, techniques, & software (e.g., CommVault);
  • Analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving system OS, software, and performance issues;
  • Five years of relevant technical experience performing mid-level systems administration activities;
  • Active Directory;
  • Working knowledge of File Server Administration (clustering a plus);
  • At least 5 years of system admin experience;
  • Intermediate PowerShell scripting;
  • Knowledge of building and maintaining an offline Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) server.
