Our company is looking for a Plumbing Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and manages multiple projects;
  • Participates in client project requirement meetings and value analysis and basic cost estimating;
  • Participates in constructability review;
  • Responsible for large projects of high complexity;
  • Develops project scope, budgets, and design approach for all size projects;
  • Engages in the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats;
  • Leads the preparation and coordination of the project specifications with construction documents;
  • Evaluates, selects, specifies, and engineers all mechanical engineered systems or products for a project;
  • Leads project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor, sub-contractors, and vendors;
  • Assists with the development of proposal for smaller, less complex projects;
  • Assists in the development of new standards and specifications for the mechanical group;
  • Prepares and revises documentation in various mechanical phases including site plans, floor plans, diagrams, and details;
  • Conducts quality assurance and quality control on own projects and projects of peers;
  • Act as technical advisor on more unusual and complex issues and guide staff on solutions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience of Plumbing Engineer;

  • A sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals;
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sustainable building design;
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering;
  • PE License;
  • Highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges;
  • Valid New York State drivers license;
  • Excellent communication skills essential for working with design teams and non- technical clients.
