RN Nurse Educator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a RN Nurse Educator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Exercise appropriate audiovisual aides to enhance the learning;
- Plan the content of educational programs and learning experience required to meet the defined objectives;
- Facilitate the initiation and adoption of changes in nursing practice and organization;
- Provide statistical reports on educational activities to the appropriate;
- Administer the process for learners to assume responsibility for maintaining competency in the clinical practice;
- Plan educational calendar according to the specific needs of the assigned;
- Develop appropriate behavioral objectives and content outline on a timely;
- Assist the Director of Nursing in maintaining current educational profiles for nursing staff;
- Utilize principles of adult teaching-learning process during classroom/clinical activities;
- Identify and utilize specific learning needs prior to designing education sessions/programs;
- Report results of the evaluation process and make the necessary revisions to the program/offering;
- Determine staff learning needs and communicate those needs with managers, engaging staff support from needed;
- Evaluate effectiveness of educational programs/training sessions on a timely.
Requirements:
- BCLS Instructor certification or commitment to obtain one within six months;
- Valid NYS nursing license;
- Bachelor’s Degree required;
- Evidence of continuing education/professional growth;
- Certification in specialty areas e.g., BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, as it pertains to specialty;
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and organizational policy and procedures;
- Knowledge of growth and development across the life span.
