Warehouse Order Picker Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Warehouse Order Picker to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Working in a team environment to efficiently package required orders;
- Receiving products using RF guns and unloading shipments from trucks;
- Maintains a friendly, efficient, and positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients, and co-workers;
- Use of vehicle mounted computer or hand held computer to pick large case items and small times;
- Reach Truck/Cherry picker experience a plus;
- Drive material handling equipment as required by job duty;
- Palatalize large items to skid and wrap for shipment;
- Scanning labels with RF scanner;
- Labeling packages and products;
- Perform other duties as assigned by management;
- Read work order forms;
- Additional tasks as needed;
- Scanning products with RF scanner;
- Palletizing products;
- Performing inventory tasks.
Requirements:
- Be able to lift 25-40lbs regularly with occasional lifting of up to 50lbs;
- Basic reading and math skills;
- Must be detail oriented;
- Operating carts, dollies, and other moving equipment to move large quantities of merchandise;
- Working in a team environment to efficiently package required orders;
- Building and stretch wrapping pallets;
- Ability to meet production standards;
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals;
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions;
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations;
- Ability and willingness to move with purpose and a strong sense of urgency;
- Ability to work weekends on a frequent basis;
- Ability to work overtime on a regular basis;
- Familiarity with distribution center terms and processes;
- Minimum 18 years of age.
