Order Selector Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Order Selector to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately completes paperwork;
- Stage completed orders for shipping;
- Reports to supervisor or lead any violation of company policy;
- Stages pallets in appropriate bay;
- Inspects assigned jack for safety issues;
- Select customer orders in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner;
- Parks and recharges pallet jack in its appropriate spot at the end of your shift;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Communicate any inventory issues with Inventory Cycle Counter;
- Places pick labels on the side of the cases;
- Perform other duties as assigned by management;
- Locate products using technology;
- Keep records of completed orders;
- Receive and check incoming pick tickets;
- Maintain equipment and report on malfunctions.
Requirements:
- Ability to stand on your feet for a minimum of 8 hours a day;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Material handling equipment experience required suck as reach trucks, cherry pickers, forklifts and pallet jacks;
- Accurate counting skills;
- Able to read and write in English;
- Great attention to detail;
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred;
- Experience or license in handling forklifts, pallets jacks and other warehouse equipment;
- Good physical strength and stamina;
- Proven experience as order picker or other warehouse position;
- Diligent and punctual;
- Experience in voice picking systems or RF devices.
