Our company is looking for a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to join our team.

  • Instructs and educates patients and families;
  • Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate;
  • Orients and mentors new staff members;
  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment;
  • Serves as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for patient care;
  • Provides age and culturally appropriate care;
  • Carries out physician orders and assesses plans to administer patient care;
  • Performs a variety of tasks;
  • Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse;
  • Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department;
  • Assists physicians during examinations and procedures;
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Requirements:

  • Advanced skills in reading, writing and oral communication;
  • Demonstrates knowledge of basic skills of professional nurse;
  • BLS, ACLS and NIHSS required- CPI preferred;
  • 2+yrs of Med Surg RN experience is a Must;
  • Must live more than 50 miles from facility;
  • CPR Certification;
  • RN within 6 months of graduation;
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing;
  • Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse licensure or temporary practice permit;
  • Prior work experience suitable for the position is preferred;
  • BSN preferred;
  • Current BLS Certification;
  • Previous RN experience, preferred;
  • Current American Heart Association BLS Certification;
  • Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree nursing program.
