Our company is looking for a Archaeological Field Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Current valid driver’s license and the ability to safely operate a 4wd vehicle on rugged, backcountry roads required;
  • Comfortable driving large, diesel, pickup-trucks is ideal;
  • Previous archaeological survey experience in Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, Virginia, and/or West Virginia is a plus;
  • An accredited Field School Certification is required;
  • Knowledge of professional-grade GPS and tablet-based data applications is a plus;
  • Knowledge of TerraSync is a plus;
  • An accredited Field School Certification is preferred;
  • Current valid driver’s license and the ability to safely operate a 4wd vehicle on rugged, backcountry roads preferred;
  • Archaeology field school or comparable experience highly preferred;
  • Experience with a wide range of field methodologies, including archaeological survey, testing, excavation, methodology and monitoring preferred;
  • Knowledge of ArcPad and/or Tablet functions is a plus.

Requirements:

  • Complete field forms efficiently and correctly;
  • Complete sketch maps of archaeological sites / historic resources;
  • Photograph cultural resources;
  • Use sub-meter GPS devices and tablets;
  • Conduct archaeological field work including monitoring, survey, testing, and data recovery;
  • Identify historic and prehistoric artifacts accurately.
