Our company is looking for a Chief Philanthropy Officer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop an annual budget;
  • Manage the Foundation’s multimillion dollar investment portfolio with the board’s finance committee;
  • Provide leadership to the various committees of the board;
  • Recruit and retain a high functioning Foundation Board of Directors;
  • Develop an annual comprehensive plan that details fundraising priorities, ministry allocations and capital priorities;
  • Serve on the Administrative Council and participate in the planning process of the hospital;
  • Serve as a leader on the executive team for the Providence Foundations of Oregon;
  • Develop a wider awareness of the foundation’s contribution to the overall success of the medical center;
  • Manage the staff of the Foundation.

Requirements:

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively;
  • Current on fundraising and donor cultivation best practices;
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with diverse stakeholders as a team;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Must be mission-driven and passionate about the role of public media;
  • Effective and proactive communication skills;
  • Proven track record of successfully securing major gift support, with a focus on closing six figure asks;
  • Ability to work effectively directly, while supervising the work of others;
  • 8 to 10 years of successful fundraising experience;
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field;
  • Record of success in major gift cultivation and solicitation;
  • In-depth and up-to-date knowledge of fundraising practices and procedures;
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and communication skills with abilities to work with a broad spectrum of people;
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
