Our company is looking for a Division Controller to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight, direction, and coordination of MM’s quarterly forecasting and annual planning;
  • Provide oversight, planning and forecasting of the division’s annual capital plan;
  • Provide information necessary to support MM’s ongoing tax calculations;
  • Provide oversight and guidance on quarterly financial reporting items;
  • Review and approve inventory accounting controls;
  • Change management champion seeking to drive internal process improvement and operating efficiencies;
  • Coordinate and compile quarterly and annual financial accounting and disclosure checklists;
  • Provide guidance to Corporate Accounting on division-specific accounting and finance related matters;
  • Support acquisitions, divestitures, and/or business reorganizations;
  • Prepare and present a quarterly business review to the CFO;
  • Prepare monthly variance analysis commentary for actual results vs forecast;
  • Ensure proactive communication with Partners regarding the collection of data required for corporate reporting or other related needs;
  • Serve as the Accounting strategic partner to assigned office locations;
  • Identify and offer solutions for training/development needs including individual and leadership training needs;
  • Establish relationships as the Accounting strategic partner & Controller for assigned office locations.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years professional hands-on accounting experience, including supervisory experience;
  • BA/BS in Accounting;
  • Experience using JD Edwards and/or Enterprise One (E1) is a plus;
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP;
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills;
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel;
  • Excellent writing and communication skills;
  • 10 plus years of financial leadership experience, preferably in a service-based company;
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance;
  • Experience in the homebuilding industry is a plus;
  • Accounting experience with master-planned developments or communities;
  • Excellent writing skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
