Our company is looking for a Engineering Team Lead to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and coach team members, local and remote;
  • Work with the Account Management team to quickly resolve customer issues;
  • Leading the team that owns the delivery of our core web and web-based desktop application at PIX;
  • Organize the team for success with strong process, personal growth plans for individuals, and proper planning;
  • Lead sprint planning and daily team scrums;
  • Work with our development team to architect and implement improvements and new features;
  • Help be a driving force for improvements;
  • Work with our product and design teams to scope out, plan, resource and deliver high-quality experiences for our users;
  • You will make your team technically better, you know when to not dive in and do it yourself;
  • You will communicate clearly up to management, and back down to your team, setting expectations and avoiding surprises;
  • You will be a technical leader, with enough credibility to influence and lead senior engineers. You are expected to dive into the code when needed;
  • You will hire and retain engineering talent as needed;
  • You are primarily responsible for delivering software to Production without delays, removing any obstacles for your team.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with distributed or remote teams;

  • Minimum 6-10 years of experience with technical degree (BS) in product engineering; advanced degree (MSME, MSEE, MBA) preferred;
  • At least 4 years professional experience developing complex web applications;
  • Experience with engineering materials with knowledge of the processing and manufacturing of them; i.e. materials used in automotive materials;
  • Thorough knowledge of SolidWorks or other CAD software;
  • Professional experience with React/Redux preferred;
  • Cross functional team experience;
  • Basic knowledge of automotive electrical systems;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the entire modern software development life-cycle and associated tools;
  • Knowledge of EPDM or other PDM software;
  • 5+ years experience, with 1+ years leading Engineering teams with 4+ engineers;
  • BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering;
  • In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, tools and techniques.
