Our company is looking for a FPGA Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • FPGA logic design, coding, simulation, and testing;
  • Support hardware and software development teams in bring-up and test of products;
  • Provide subject-matter expertise regarding design and automated test development procedures to customers and production support team;
  • Research and analysis of data, such as customer proposed specifications, datasheets, or manuals to determine design approach and/or feasibility;
  • Debugging and stressing the design in the lab;
  • Synthesis, implementation, and timing analysis;
  • Communicate project status and risks to project and management teams;
  • Presents results at project reviews and technical conferences;
  • Oversees the day-to-day development activities of the design team in support of the project manager’s work plan;
  • Designs or directs the development of unique or leading-edge technology, hardware, equipment, or systems to meet specific mission requirements;
  • Work closely in engineering team efforts related to the study, development, and test of hardware, data system components, or equipment;
  • Design and test advanced digital logic implemented in Very High-Speed Integrated Circuit (VHSIC) Hardware Description Language (VHDL);
  • Performs additional data systems and analysis work as required;
  • Develop, demonstrate, and verify designs in FPGAs;
  • Simulate digital circuits (behavioral and timing) to ensure that performance, timing, and power requirements are all satisfied.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree;
  • Experience in following: Technologies that aren’t just top-notch, they’re often super-secret;
  • Ability to work with a fun and diverse group of colleagues;
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with high speed digital electronics, proper timing and debugging capabilities;
  • Embedded software (in C or C++) development skills for FPGAs and other systems;
  • Hands on experience with Xilinx IPs and Xilinx IP integrator;
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in hardware development experience using FPGAs, microprocessors, high speed digital circuits in embedded designs;
  • The candidate must be an effective communicator, multitask, and work well with others;
  • Minimum of 5 years’ Very High Speed Integrated Circuit Hardware Description Language (VHDL) experience and associated modeling and simulation tools;
  • 5+ years industry experience in designing and implementing custom Verilog RTL for Xilinx FPGAs;
  • Xilinx and Altera FPGA tools and processes;
  • Designing, building, testing/debugging, and producing low to high volume embedded products;
  • ChipScope or equivalent;
  • Working knowledge of simulation tools like Mentor Questa sim;
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering.
