Our company is looking for a Senior Data Modeler to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Support new and existing development projects with data and process modeling activities. Provide entity, logical and physical data models;
  • Create and maintain custom and vendor provided data technical dictionaries for all business systems;
  • Communicates project status, issues and resolutions with appropriate Lead and/or Managers;
  • Work with data suppliers to establish input and interface specifications;
  • Perform database and data warehouse design across multiple platforms;
  • Codes, tests and supports existing and new systems and applications;
  • Perform data analysis for source system data Creates conceptual logical and physical models for banking data lake implementations;
  • Conducts thorough unit testing;
  • Writes design specifications for solutions as identified by Analyst, Lead and/or management;
  • Design time variant models that support both point in time historical and current state analysis;
  • Conducts data requirements assessment and design sessions with customers Works with analysts to establish clearly defined business requirements;
  • Estimates level of effort for work assignments and requests received, then communicate accordingly to the Project Manager to determine delivery time;
  • Participate in data governance processes related to data quality and information management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience working with healthcare data and revenue cycle data models;
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and work management skills;
  • Proficiency with some leading data profiling tools (such as SQL, BI tools, etc);
  • Experience with a Clinical industry focused data model preferred;
  • Participate in data governance processes related to data quality and information management;
  • Strong SQL skills to pull data from Teradata/Oracle and perform usage analysis and/or data profiling;
  • Conducts thorough unit testing;
  • Writes design specifications for solutions as identified by Analyst, Lead and/or management;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field;
  • Create and maintain custom and vendor provided data technical dictionaries for all business systems;

  • Exposure and understanding of Big Data technologies and architectures – Hadoop, Cassandra, Green Plum, etc;
