Localization Program Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Localization Program Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Drive operations, marketing, and associated engineering teams to launch Assistant in new locales/languages;
- review and prioritize query losses across key languages/locales, working with core team owner on standardized framework;
- Monitoring Bug quality and follow up;
- Provide day-to-day tracking of gaps and highlight those issues to PgM country launch managers;
- Manage tasks in coordinating across different product areas and regional teams to ensure features are language and country-ready;
- logging and tracking feature development for i18n across multiple feature teams, focusing on coordination with NLU and NLG teams;
- Getting language/surface ready for launch;
- Support creating better documentation around our processes & resources;
- coordinating management of linguistic style guides;
- Track the launches by surface/language.
Requirements:
- Able to drive operations execution schedules;
- 2-3 years in Program, Project management role within the tech industry or working with Product/Engineering organizations;
- Working knowledge of industry standard localization tools;
- Fluency in a non-English language is a plus;
- AA/BA in Computer Science, Business Administration, General Engineer and/or related discipline;
- 10+ years of production or program management at senior levels;
- Must have and display strong written & verbal communication skills;
- Experience working and comfortable/thrives with a certain amount of chaos / ambiguity and across time zones;
- Ability to lead large scale technical, and cross functional programs to delivery;
- Extremely proactive and willing to get their hands dirty;
- Solid in-depth knowledge of internationalization and localization is a plus.
