Cage Cashier Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Cage Cashier to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Processes documentation based on current gaming regulations and department procedures;
- Maintain custody of funds, records of those funds and prepare reports and records of transactions for assigned bank;
- Processes cashier transactions including redeeming coupons, cashing checks, and making change;
- Check guests for proper identification. Qualifications;
- Process guest transactions while ensuring a positive guest experience;
- Ensure that all transactions are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements:
- Proven leadership skills;
- Excellent attendance;
- Must attend State, Federal, Tribal, Casino, and Department mandatory trainings and pass any applicable testing;
- Must have employment eligibility in the U.S;
- Excellent communication both orally and in writing;
- Must have experience handling large volumes of currency (i.e. bank teller, cashier, CSM, etc.) and ability to operate a 10-Key;
- Must be able to work all shifts including weekends, holidays, evenings and special events as needed;
- Must be able to stand 100% of the job time;
- Must be able to work in a smoking environment;
- Knowledge of cash and ticket handling procedures;
- High school diploma (or equivalent combination of education and experience combined);
- Ability to learn quickly, self-leader with initiative, highly flexible and comfortable in a constantly changing environment;
- Knowledge and experience with modern office equipment and its usage;
- Must be able to push, pull, bend and squat;
- Knowledge of Tribal/State/Federal laws and regulations.
