Our company is looking for a Restaurant Cashier to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing refunds and exchanges, resolving complaints;
  • Balancing the cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales;
  • Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and providing a receipt to every customer;
  • Maintaining a clean work space;
  • Bagging or wrapping purchases to ensure safe transport;
  • Welcoming customers, answering their questions, seating customers, and providing advice or recommendations;
  • Following all store procedures regarding coupons, gift cards, or the purchase of specific items, such as alcohol;
  • Operating cash registers, and other electronics.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Helpful, courteous approach to resolving complaints;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Customer service or Cashier experience;
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and work with other team members in a fast-paced environment to provide excellent service;
  • High level of energy with strong customer service skills;
  • Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly;
  • Basic math and computer skills;
  • Have an approachable team-player and positive attitude;
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in the food service industry;
  • Genuinely enjoy customer service and working with a diversity of people;
  • Must provide or obtain a current CA Food Handler Certification;
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced environment;
  • Be punctual and ready to work;
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus but NOT REQUIRED.
