Fitness Coach Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Fitness Coach to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Handle member concerns when applicable;
- Ensure safety of clients in regards to proper stretch techniques and enforce StretchLab polices and safety rules;
- Build OTF attendance and retain current clientele;
- Clean and maintain all equipment in order to ensure it is available for client use at any given time;
- Maintain strong social media presence to client membership and retention;
- Modify specific exercises to accommodate various skill levels;
- Build StretchLab membership and retain current clientele;
- Deliver predesigned workouts to groups of 28 clients;
- Energize and motivate clients throughout the sessions;
- Encourage and motivate clients throughout stretch sessions;
- Attend staff meetings and required educational presentations;
- Deliver one-on-one assisted stretch sessions as well as group stretch classes for up to 6 clients;
- Ensure safety of participants with regard to heart rate and exercise technique;
- Assist sales associates, when needed, with OTF studio tours and sales;
- Attend monthly fitness staff meetings and required educational presentations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an exercise-related field is preferred;
- Preferred background: Personal Trainer;
- Pilates or Yoga Instructor;
- Love of boutique fitness environment is a must – passion for stretching, mobility and flexibility;
- Athletic Trainer;
- Massage Therapist;
- Positive, motivating and effective interpersonal communication skills;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills;
- Physical Therapist;
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized;
- Desire and capacity to train all fitness levels;
- CPR/AED certification;
- Must be able to safely lift and move up to 40lbs;
- Must hold current fitness certification from an OTF approved education company such as ACSM, ACE, NASM, NCSA, AFFA, or NFPT;
- Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics.
