Fitness directors oversee the fitness-related aspects of a gym or other type of health club. They often handle administrative duties, such as scheduling personal training sessions for clients and creating workout incentive programs. They may select and order fitness equipment for their facility.

Our company is looking for a Fitness Director to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing daily sales & production reports, personal trainer payroll, etc;
  • Driving traffic & team sales; helping the team exceed monthly sales goals;
  • Partnering with the GM to identify new opportunities to help the club improve revenue, trainer performance and overall gym programming;
  • Ongoing leadership, training & mentoring employees;
  • Training the Coaches/front desk staff on selling personal training packages;
  • Maintaining an exceptional environment for team members, members & guests;
  • Ensuring that every training session exceeds the client’s expectations.

Requirements:

  • Active listening;
  • Must have a passion for fitness and maintain at least one nationally recognized certification and qualification in personal training;
  • Judgment and decision making;
  • 3-5 years of Fitness Management experience, talent development;
  • Social perceptiveness;
  • Experience: Appropriate certifications and/or licensures with 1-2 years of related experience;
  • Service orientation;
  • Education: Associate’s degree or training in a vocational school;
  • Instructing;
  • Have collaborative team-building and performance management capabilities;
  • Monitoring;
  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver information clearly, concisely, and timely.
