Line Lead Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Line Lead to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Wear designated personal protection equipment (PPE);
- Ensure filling machines remain operational, with minimal downtime;
- Oversee finished product quality;
- Understand and promote safety in all areas of the facility;
- Work in a fast paced environment;
- Follow all GMP and safety procedures;
- Request maintenance assistance as necessary;
- Fill out required paperwork;
- Operate filling and labeling equipment;
- Able to wear required Personal Protective equipment when entering manufacturing;
- Supervise a production line within an assembly or contract packaging plant;
- Track production rates and record for documentation;
- Set up the production line;
- Able to work for prolonged periods of time in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environment;
- Understand and use Quality Control Process.
Requirements:
- Able to work independently as well as on a team;
- Able to stand and walk majority of an 8 hour shift;
- Able to use a computer and read a scale;
- Experience with responsibility for machine operation and production rates and quality;
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime including Saturday;
- Problem solver;
- Good time management skills;
- Pass basic math and color test;
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds, occasionally up to 40 pounds;
- Must be able to maintain good attendance;
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment;
- Perform basic math – count, add, subtract and use a calculator;
- Flexibility to adapt and meet fluctuating priority changes;
- Strong English ability – understanding, reading, writing and speaking;
- Able to perform in a fast moving production environment.
