Our company is looking for a Furnace Operator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to read and understand blue prints;
  • Monitor equipment operation;
  • Record gauge readings, test results, and shift production in log books;
  • Read work orders to determine work assignments;
  • Load molds into the pre-heat ovens for cast;
  • Prepare furnaces for casting;
  • Load metal and flux into furnaces or clay crucibles;
  • High School Diploma/GED and five (5) years experience working in commercial heat treating. Heat treating license is preferred;
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand basic English;
  • Transport materials and products to and from work areas;
  • Drain, transfer, or remove molten metal from furnaces;
  • Ability to learn, problem-solve, and make decisions per work instructions and documents;
  • Ability to communicate and work as a team member.

Requirements:

  • Accuracy;
  • Able to troubleshoot or diagnosis situations, events or equipment;
  • Experience a must, working in an industrial manufacturing plant environment;
  • Demonstrate good math and reading skills;
  • Basic Computer skills;
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds;
  • Mechanically inclined;
  • Previous foundry experience preferred;
  • Able to work in the heat and other weather environment;
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S;
  • Willing to learn new skills;
  • Able to work 12 hours/nigh shifts;
  • Ability to withstand extreme heat;
  • Applicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report;
