Lead QA Automation Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Lead QA Automation Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Managing and leading a team of QA Engineers;
- Conceive, plan and prioritize data projects;
- Ensure data quality and integrity;
- Provide hands-on validation using manual methods;
- Integrating automation and testing into the CI/CD pipeline for both regression, functional and integration testing;
- Interpret and analyze data problems;
- Perform initial debugging on test failures and read through the code;
- Drive the building of test strategies & methodologies, automation and site monitoring focused on infrastructure and high availability;
- Work with product, engineering teams in implementing & enforcing quality gates at each stage of pipeline;
- Proactively identify and communicate risks and opportunities for improvement across all products and test frameworks;
- Manage test data architecture definition and requests.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written a must;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent;
- Experience in implementing In-Sprint automation;
- 5+ Automation experience (Selenium, Appium, Soap UI, RestAssured, Postman, Jira) as a QE/SDET;
- Experience with CI/CD technologies, such as JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket (or another Git server), and Jenkins;
- Experience working on complex, large-scale projects;
- 10+ years of experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of quality assurance standards for testing;
- Excellent understanding of testing best practices and methodologies;
- Extensive background supporting Quality Assurance programs in a mid to large size company;
- 3+ years of experience as an automation lead with;
- Ability to work under pressure in a multi-task environment;
- Thirst of learning new technologies and their possible implementation talent work experience.
