Lead Quality Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Lead Quality Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Working with the clean room;
- Adding guidance and structure;
- Being involved in new products coming into the plant;
- Completing the qualification and validation process;
- Learning new programs;
- Quality lab testing and test procedures;
- Monitor and Measure (Quality related);
- CAPA and Non-conforming management;
- Monitor and analyze quality performance in the distribution network;
- Champion workflow, processes, and products for compliance with safety regulations;
- Collaborate with business leaders to develop and implement controls and improvements;
- Perform root cause analysis for all quality related production issues, using the quality clinic model;
- Develop corrective actions, solutions, and improvements;
- Drive for quality control, ensure quality is built in from the start using test first principals such as BDD;
- Analyzes data by completing hypothesis, normal distribution, and process capability analysis tests.
Requirements:
- Proven Lean Deployment Experience in a multi-location organization;
- Familiarity with ERP Systems;
- Applicable ASQ certification;
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
- Master’s degree in applicable field;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Bachelor’s degree in quality management, industrial or mechanical engineering;
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, Six Sigma or statistical experience preferred;
- Excellent business communication and presentation skills;
- ISO 9001 working knowledge;
- 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing / chemical industry or within the quality profession is required;
- Understanding of TS 16949, ISO 9001, and PPAP requirements with practical application in manufacturing/chemical industry;
- Bachelor of science degree in Engineering or related field is required;
- 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance or a similar role.
