Quality Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the QMS according to the IATF 16949:2016 requirements;
- Where applicable, maintains certification records of measurement equipment. Vendor Compliance;
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and report any defective PPE;
- Participate in MRB review and disposition process;
- Perform data entry, analysis and sharing/explanation of same;
- Complete projects in a manner consistent with corporate objectives;
- Serves as Acting Quality Manager if Quality Manager is absent;
- Ensures that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts;
- Support internal quality deliverables associated with engineering changes, manufacturing transfers and supplier-initiated changes;
- Issue corrective actions when required and perform follow-up as applicable;
- Ability to adapt & perform in a DevOps – CI/CD environment;
- Auditor of process;
- Ability to make and present risked based decisions;
- Strong skills in MS Windows – Excel, Word and Power-point. Familiar with and able to work in MS Project;
- Develop and update Quality Procedures and Work Instructions, and provide training to appropriate personnel.
Requirements:
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field;
- Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth;
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and Medical device, particularly Orthopedic industry, experience preferred;
- Ability to read relevant measuring equipment;
- Demonstrated experience with WebdriverIO;
- Ability to make and present risk based decisions;
- Collect SPC data and report monthly; and work with manufacturing on process improvements;
- Hands-on experience with Selenium;
- Coding experience in Java, C/C++ or Python;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field;
- Ability to interpret detailed drawings, schematics and diagrams;
- Ability to tolerate ambiguity, multiple priorities and short deadlines;
- Ability to lead creation of risk management files.
