Responsibilities

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

Perform analysis and design of Bridges, Buildings,and other structures including vehicle and pedestrian bridges as well as low to mid-rise buildings.
Independently prepare computer analysis models, organize calculations, interpret design codes, and provide markups to produce construction drawings.
Interact with CAD Technicians (familiarized with the latest structural CAD standards).
Visit project sites and provide construction observations towards providing engineering solutions to different site conditions and/or existing conditions.
Interact with CSA Engineers, Architects and external consultants.

Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and Master’s degree in Structural Engineering
5-10+ years of experience in Structural Engineering Design
Experience in bridge design and bridge rehabilitation
Experience performing structural condition assessments, including seismic evaluations and retrofit of existing building structures
Licensed and Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Puerto Rico. Licensed in Florida and/or NY is a must
Strong knowledge in structural engineering analysis and design.
Strong experience in design of concrete (either cast-in-place or precast), steel, and wood structures.
Knowledge of the design of aluminium and FRP structures is a must.
Proficient user of structural analysis software such as Etabs, SAP2000, IDEA Statica, AutoCad, REVIT, CSIBridge, SAFE, Enercalc, BlueBeam, and Microsoft Tools
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Bilingual (English-Spanish)
