Big Bend Community College (BBCC), a rural college serving vibrant, culturally rich communities in the Columbia Basin of Central Washington invites applications for a Site Manager in the college's BEdA Department.

Reporting to the BEdA Director, this position has oversight for the daily operations of the instructional sites on the southern end of the BBCC service district with a primary focus on Othello and Mattawa. This position requires an alternative work schedule that extends into the evenings and includes occasional weekend hours. Activities, meetings, or student services are often provided outside of standard work hours to meet student, departmental, and college needs. This position will be based in Othello.

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the smooth operations of instructional sites in Othello and Mattawa. The position will maintain regular communication between BBCC and community partners key to delivering higher educational services to students in Othello, Mattawa, and other sites in the southern end of the BBCC service district. Primary partners include school districts, city government, community-based organizations, and state agencies. Topics for communication and coordination include information flow, schedule of classes, events, facility usage, technology issues, student and faculty recruitment, college procedures, and the needs of partner organizations.

* Coordinate with BBCC departments and external partners to ensure that BBCC instructors and staff are able to deliver quality instruction and services to students at off-campus instructional sites, including classrooms, technology, and other resources.

* Align and organize services between off-campus sites and BBCC departments such as BBT, M&O, Student Services.

* Coordinate services and communication between community agencies and partners, high schools, faculty, and staff in student support programs and student services programs across the college such as Counseling, Advising, TRIO, Big Bend Technology, and Workforce funding program staff.

* Coordinate with instructional deans and directors to recruit, orient, and support associate faculty teaching at off-campus sites.

* Represent BBCC at community gatherings, in meetings with taskforces, committees, and general public

* Deliver information explaining BBCC programs, services, and hiring needs to community groups, partners, potential students, and the general public.

* Participate in and support outreach activities to potential and current students, community and faith-based organizations, governmental agencies and K-12 partners regarding BBCC services.

* Collaborate with other divisions of the college, as appropriate, to organize and facilitate college events for students at off-campus sites.

* Verify and support accurate student coding and other compliance needs in state systems for enrollment, funding, and data collection.

* Gather, prepare, and maintain program information for reports, records, and audit purposes, supervise support staff in these activities.

* Manage the work of part-time support staff and student workers at off-campus sites.

* Participate in personnel decisions for student and part-time employees and recommend hiring, dismissal or disciplinary action.

* Lead and recommend changes and/or modifications to programs and service delivery with appropriate documentation and analysis.

* Develop new procedures to implement or streamline services and programs within the assigned service delivery area.

* Prepare budget requests and site workplans for departmental approval, providing supporting documentation and justification.

* Manage and deliver information sessions and/or workshops explaining traditional and alternative sources of financial aid, educational pathways, and local employment opportunities.

* Guide new students through the BBCC new student intake and admission process, including admission process, specific program requirements, enrollment, traditional and alternative sources of financial aid, payment, textbooks, residency or visa requirements, and other intake procedures specific to particular BBCC programs such as BEdA.

* Advise BBCC students in the development of an individualized educational plan, including a clear curriculum pathway and a clear timeline to complete their educational goal and credential.

* Instruct and oversee students in activating ctcLink and network accounts, basic digital literacy, and laptop checkouts.

* Support students in barrier elimination and access to local or campus resources.

* Utilize Starfish (or similar program) for cross-referrals of services and improved student retention.

* Schedule and participate in enrollment and testing events during finals week and throughout the quarter.

OTHER WORK RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.

* Ensure no injuries to self or others by following safe work practices and policies. This includes, but is not limited to, security and safety, understanding of MSDS, equipment, infection control, fire, disaster, safe lifting and body mechanics.

* Ensure compliance with college policies and procedures and state and federal regulations.

* Conduct self in a professional manner and ensure the interaction with team members and other support groups is conducted in a courteous and efficient manner reflective of the college's values.

* Perform related duties and responsibilities as may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution or an equivalent combination of related experience and/or education.

* Experience collaborating with external partners.

* One-year experience working with under-represented adults, especially in rural settings.

* Ability to work independently while also being an effective member of a team.

* Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.

Desirable Qualifications:

* Experience providing information to groups of individuals such as school board, economic development council, city council, and/or similar meetings

* Experience providing 1:1 and small group presentations to potential students and their families

* Bilingual Spanish/English or Ukrainian/English competency.

* Experience in outreach, recruitment, student enrollment and/or sales.

* Experience understanding grant outcomes and reporting requirements.

* Experience as a faculty in a secondary or post-secondary institution.

* Professional connection to Mattawa and/or Othello.

* Understand BBCC programs, departments, and services.
