Duties

You will prepare, edit, finalize and format correspondence, routing correspondence for signature according to department standards.
You will maintain office filing, organization charts, rosters, muster charts, and training logs.
You will manage conference room calendars, maintain leadership calendars, schedule appointments, coordinate meetings both on and off center, prepare visit requests (including foreign visits) and receiving and directing visitors.
You will initiate travel orders (including foreign travel), complete travel vouchers, and maintain transportation records.
You will manage telephone resources, maintain office equipment, ensure the office is appropriately supplied which includes ordering routine supplies, dealing professionally with customers, and assist in coordinating training requests.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DG-2 grade level or (GS-4/5) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing, editing, finalizing and formatting correspondence; routing correspondence for signature according to department standards; 2) Applying generalized judgement in determining the nature of requirements, obtaining required information, and referring problems to the appropriate resources; 3) Demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications.

Education

The following education may be substituted for specialized experience:

4 years of post high school education.

This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school.
