Role Overview
The Senior Paid Media Buyer will own the strategy, execution, management, and optimization of paid media campaigns, with a primary focus on Google Ads while supporting LinkedIn, Microsoft/Bing, and broader demand generation initiatives.
This is a senior individual contributor role with no direct reports initially. The Senior Paid Media Buyer will manage significant media budgets, analyze campaign and conversion performance, recommend budget allocation decisions, support website conversion rate optimization, and translate performance data into clear recommendations for marketing leadership.
The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on paid media expertise with strong B2B demand generation knowledge and analytical judgment. This role is suited for someone who can independently identify opportunities, test and iterate quickly, and connect paid media performance to MQLs , SQLs , qualified pipeline, and revenue.

Key Responsibilities

Paid Media Strategy & Execution

Own the strategy, execution, management, and optimization of paid media campaigns, with a primary focus on Google Ads .
Support and evaluate LinkedIn, Microsoft/Bing, and other paid acquisition channels in partnership with the broader marketing team.
Launch, optimize, and scale campaigns aligned with demand generation and pipeline objectives.
Continuously test audiences, messaging, targeting, campaign structures, and other variables to improve performance.
Identify opportunities to expand, refine, or restructure paid acquisition initiatives based on performance data.

Budget Management & Optimization

Manage and optimize a six- to seven-figure paid media budget .
Analyze campaign and channel performance to determine where budget should be increased, reduced, or reallocated.
Make data-backed recommendations designed to improve marketing efficiency and pipeline contribution.
Continuously monitor spend and performance to identify opportunities for optimization.
Balance short-term campaign performance with broader demand generation objectives.

B2B Demand Generation & Pipeline Performance

Connect paid media strategy and performance to key B2B funnel stages, including MQLs , SQLs , SQOs , pipeline, and revenue.
Partner with Marketing Ops and RevOps to define, validate, and improve conversion signals, tracking, and attribution inputs.
Evaluate campaign quality beyond surface-level metrics by considering downstream pipeline impact.
Use campaign and funnel data to identify opportunities to generate stronger qualified demand.
Support broader demand generation initiatives designed to improve acquisition and pipeline performance.

Analytics & Strategic Recommendations

Analyze paid media and website performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring improvement.
Translate complex campaign data into clear, actionable recommendations for the Senior Director of Demand Generation.
Present recommendations to senior marketing leadership and provide the rationale behind optimization decisions.
Continuously course-correct campaigns based on performance data and business priorities.
Use analytics to support decisions around targeting, messaging, budget allocation, and channel strategy.

Website Performance & Conversion Rate Optimization

Partner with the Senior Director of Demand Generation and broader marketing team on website performance and conversion rate optimization.
Identify opportunities to improve conversion performance across landing pages and other key website experiences.
Use paid media and website data to recommend CRO experiments and improvements.
Support testing initiatives designed to increase the conversion of paid traffic into qualified leads and pipeline.
Evaluate how campaign messaging, targeting, and landing page experiences work together throughout the acquisition journey.

Agency & Vendor Management

Own relationships with external paid media agencies and vendors.
Establish clear strategies, expectations, deliverables, and performance standards.
Coordinate with external marketing and SEO partners to ensure deliverables are completed.
Evaluate agency and vendor performance based on agreed objectives and business outcomes.
Provide strategic direction rather than relying on external partners to determine paid media strategy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with Demand Generation, Top-of-Funnel Marketing, Marketing Operations, RevOps, Creative, and other marketing stakeholders.
Partner with internal teams to improve campaign execution, measurement, creative, and conversion performance.
Communicate paid media insights and recommendations clearly across different marketing functions.
Operate effectively in a fast-moving environment where campaigns and priorities are frequently tested and refined.

AI & Marketing Efficiency

Leverage AI and automation to improve paid media performance, operational efficiency, and insight generation.
Identify opportunities to streamline campaign analysis, optimization, reporting, and other recurring workflows.
Incorporate AI-enabled tools into day-to-day marketing processes where they can improve speed or decision-making.
Maintain strong analytical judgment when using AI-generated recommendations or insights.

Qualifications

Experience

5+ years of paid media, performance marketing, or related digital acquisition experience.
Strong hands-on experience managing and optimizing Google Ads campaigns.
Experience supporting or managing LinkedIn Ads as part of a B2B demand generation strategy.
Proven experience managing large paid media budgets, ideally six figures or greater .
Experience within B2B environments, with B2B SaaS demand generation experience strongly preferred.
Experience connecting paid media performance to MQLs , SQLs , qualified pipeline, and revenue.
Experience analyzing campaign performance and translating data into strategic recommendations.
Experience supporting website performance and conversion rate optimization initiatives.
Experience working with or managing external marketing agencies and vendors.
Experience with Microsoft/Bing Ads , SEO, or ABM-focused paid media is preferred.
Previous experience mentoring junior marketers or the potential to take on people management responsibilities is a plus.
