What will you do?

+ Work with an outstanding team of professionals - you will share knowledge and learn about some of the most energy-efficient facilities in the State of Maine.

+ Maintain facility standards, documentation of services provided, and associated costs for work performed.

What we need from you:

+ We need a candidate who can deliver and contribute as a positive team player, a person who understands building construction and associated trades and can make decisions to effectively improve facility standards.

Skills or knowledge required:

+ Work is performed under limited supervision. Teamwork is essential. We all help each other, regardless of our roles, thus a multi-technical skilled candidate with a diverse background is preferred, and consideration will be provided to a candidate with knowledge of multiple trades, i.e. carpentry, flooring, plumbing, electrical, HVAC etc. Managerial skills a must.

+ Knowledge of building controls, troubleshooting HVAC, plumbing, electrical, all aspects of buildings.

+ Knowledge of the tools, materials, equipment, methods, and practices of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and general maintenance, and repair work.

+ Knowledge of the occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions needed to perform mechanical repair work.

+ Ability to read, understand, and follow manufacturers' specifications and instructions for using, cleaning, and repairing machinery and equipment.

+ Ability to use standard power and hand tools.

+ Ability to understand building automation controls and how to adjust them for efficiency, proper operation and comfort of inhabitants within the facilities.

+ Ability to multitask employees, contractors, customers, reports, invoices, work orders and various other management responsibilities.

+ Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

+ Ability to apply general carpentry and masonry skills.

+ Ability to perform general mechanical repair work.

Minimum qualifications:

An Associates Degree from an accredited educational institution in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, a related HVAC trade, or other related area and three (3) years experience with HVAC and/or security systems to include at least one (1) year of experience operating an automated building control/security system.
