The Executive Director is responsible for all aspects of agency operations and program oversight. Duties include leading and motivating staff to assure quality services to trafficking survivors in a well-maintained and homey residence, as well as annually creating and implementing a sound
business and sustainability plan in collaboration with the Board of Directors. Because a reliable and continuing source of funding is critical to the ability of Lila Mae’s House to serve trafficking survivors and grow its role in the community, the Executive Director must develop and meet aggressive annual fundraising goals in collaboration with the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities and Duties

Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and implement annual business and sustainability plans, designed to create and maintain reserve funds equivalent to three years of operational budgets.
Develop and maintain sustainable relationships with funders on behalf of Lila Mae’s House.
Prepare, supervise, execute, and adhere to the Board-approved budget.
Oversee financial and statistical records of the agency.
Lead, organize and execute fundraising events with assistance from the Board of Directors.
Research grant opportunities from government and non-government agencies that support women and programs that align with Lila Mae’s House mission and prioritized areas.

II. Program Management (20%)

Oversee the operations and programs of Lila Mae’s House.
Manage personnel functions, including hiring, supervision, and evaluation of all staff.
Manage and supervise administrative staff (case manager and house manager).
Work closely with house manager to oversee the property.
Evaluate program successes and failures, recommending changes or corrective action to the Board.
Oversee new program development and adapt to existing agency programs based on needs assessment.
Oversee social media for Lila Mae’s House. This includes creating an annual social media calendar, generating content, and managing promotional spending, which is designed to create awareness and solicit donations.

III. Board reporting and Liaison

Recruit a well-rounded, active, engaged Board of Directors.
Develop a strategic business plan and sustainability plan with the Board of Directors.
Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and statistical reports for the Board.
Serve as liaison between Board, Board committees, and staff.
Communicate updated information regarding current agency activities and problems to Board; submit proposals for policy changes.
Educate the Board on issues related to sex trafficking and complex trauma.
Serve as a main communication link between Lila Mae’s House and other community agencies.
Develop and maintain supportive, cooperative, collaborative relationships with agencies that serve Lila Mae’s House clients.
Create networks with community organizers to address issues of human trafficking, domestic violence & sexual assault, community issues related to violence (i.e. housing, homeless).
Participate in state providers of survivor services networks, human trafficking state networks, and community coalitions and organizations addressing human trafficking.
Network and represent agency at appropriate community and corporate meetings.
Be informed and involved on state human trafficking laws and legislation and services.

Knowledge & Skills

Must be mission-driven and self-directed, demonstrating integrity and a positive attitude.
Demonstrated successful results in fundraising and grant writing experience.
Proven leadership, coaching, and relationship management experience.
The ability to delegate wisely, exercise good judgment, maintain good interpersonal relationships, adapt to change, evaluate critically, think creatively, and respond to crisis.
Activities are governed by a professional code of ethics and rules of confidentiality, prior training and experience working with persons who have been sex trafficked helpful.
Must be able to write effectively, communicate and work with a variety of people in a pleasing manner.
Able to organize, prioritize, and plan work to meet deadlines, demonstrate professional responsibility and have the ability to enhance and foster independence, integration and productivity.

Bachelor’s degree in social work or other human services field, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred;
Demonstrated knowledge of women’s issues, human trafficking, court systems, crisis intervention and/or domestic violence required;

HIPAA DISCLOSURE & RELEASE

I, _______________________________ , authorize and understand that I have been made aware of Dakota County Community Response HIPAA privacy practices. As Dakota County Community Response operates in the state of Nebraska, the Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) monitors HIPAA disclosure for the purpose of rendering & engaging in services. My signature on this form grants access and disclosure to my own personal or children’s PHI (Protected Health Information) for the purpose of completing or rendering services via Dakota County Community Response.

Dakota County Community Response, and its officers, directors, members, employees and agents will be allowed to access my or my children’s PHI at any time after signature of this Release for the purpose of completing my request/application and services based on the application that I submit.

My HIPAA authorization can be revoked at any time by notifying Dakota County Community Response in writing at the above listed address. If I revoke my authorization before services have concluded, Dakota County Community Response may terminate my services due to lack of information or ability to disclose PHI to its officers, directors, members, employees, and agents.

CLIENT DISCLOSURE

By signing below, I understand that I must complete the Community Response Exit Survey. If I do not complete the survey, I may not be able to receive any further assistance from Dakota County Community Response funding. The Community Response Exit Survey will be provided to you at the anticipated last coaching visit and/or within 30‐90 days of enrollment into Community Response.
